FIELD TRIPS -
Heritage Trail
The Higher Intermediate students took a walk down the streets of Penang to get to know the culture and heritage of Penang. The memorable walk was carried out with the students on 15/1/09 and the walk covered places like Little India, Seri Mariamman Temple, Pinang Peranakan and small, narrow lanes around Beach Street. The walk lasted about 3 hours with giggles, questions and plenty of input about Penang by our tour guide, Ms. Patricia. During the trip, the students were exposed to the smell of spices, delicious food and aromatic flowers at Little India. They were also dazzled by the sounds and sight of Penang as well as the food as the trip ended with students enjoying delectable Indian cuisine. The smell of Roti Canai, Tosai, Banana leave rice filled their nostrils and the taste tantalized them! The trip was then followed by a presentation on three areas: food, Seri Mariamman Temple and Little India.
