'Sell an Eco Bag' Workshop and 'Money and Me' workshop
(14 & 18.10.2010)
On 14 of October, students from Higher Intermediate got their hands dirty and put on their creative thinking cap to design their own 'eco bag' courtesy of SSD. These bags were made from old banners. It was a lively and interesting workshop, thanks to Ms. Sher! (our sweet and beautiful facilitator). The short workshop created situational practice for relevant "language in use" as part of the lesson on 'Money'.
Bags with different designs and themes were created at the end of workshop and these bags will be sold to both Elementary and Intermediate students after the talk on 'Money and Me' conducted by Mr. Gerard. This interesting workshop teaches students how to use money wisely, how to market effectively and how ultimately how to persuade both Elementary and Intermediate students to buy the trendy and stylish bags created.
Higher Intermediate students will also do their bit and contribute to charity as they will donate all their 'unsold' bags to the college and all payment collected from the bag will be donated to the Hope organization. Kudos Higher Intermediate for a job well done!
