CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES - Higher Intermediate Reading Programme
Congratulations to Higher Intermediate (HI) students! This batch of 13 students did extremely well in their book presentation which was coupled with visuals, music, video, Q & A and even a talk show. Students from HI were asked to conduct a book presentation 1.5 weeks ago based on four books that they read in groups. The four stories were Treasure Island, Christmas Carol, Robinson Crusoe & Jungle Book. Each group had to present the book they were assigned to and they were specifically told to give a summary of the story, talk about the plot of the story, the characters and their role(s) and the moral value(s). They were also asked to recommend the story to specific groups of people, give their honest opinion(s) with regard to the story and lastly how they can apply the story in their lives!
It was an impressive presentation with students using different methods to make their presentation lively. I had fun and I assure you…they (my students) DID TOO!!!
